Description

Excavations (in 1967) before redevelopment in the gardens of demolished houses at Northwich revealed a Brine Kiln cut into the natural marl, probably dating from the first century. The work was carried out by the Mid-Cheshire College of Further Education and directed by Mr J.B Curzon. (1)
