ACTON C.P. MONKS LANE SJ 65 SW 4/17 Almshouses in St.Mary's Churchyard north of the Church 12 January 1967 GV II
Pair of almshouses, early C17. Red brick with stone dressing and tiled roof. Single storey and attic, 2 bays each. Rusticated quoins. Oak boarded doors in rusticated stone dressed openings with flat arches and keystones. Stone dressed 2-light mullion windows with leaded casements, now blocked. Attic windows, in gables only, are two- light leaded casements in oak frames. There are small, stone dressed, single light windows at ground level in the gables and a single 2-light mullion window per house at the rear (north). Stone gable coping with kneelers and stone ridge. Gable-end stacks.
