Shippon: dated 1674 but the building is of early-mid C19 with some C20 alterations. English garden wall bond brick with red sandstone dressings, Welsh slate roof with stone ridge and copings. Rectangular plan. 2-storey, 6-bay south front. Partial stone base, stepped brick cornice. Has reset moulded stone doorcase with a segmental head and a heavy lintel with inscription N in 2nd bay. R S 1674 Other doors and windows on ground storey have segmental brick heads and stone settings for catches and hinges. Above is a line of diamond and cross pattern ventilation slots and 2 circular pitchholes with stone surrounds. Interior: has heavy ceiling beams. Included for group value.
