Abstract/Summary

A level II historic building survey was undertaken in 2024 for Windmill House, located on Carden Park Golf course, prior to demolition and construction of a replacement dwelling. A group of buildings are depicted on the site on the Tithe Map of 1839 and later OS historic mapping. The property is labelled 'Windmill House' on the OS map of 1875. It potentially originated as a double pile house of probable 18th or early 19th-century in date, the core of which is masked by the modern northern extensions and the modern rebuilding of the south elevation.
