Abstract/Summary
Archaeological evaluation trenching was undertaken on a 42 acre greenfield site, adjacent to Lunt's Heath Road, Widnes, Halton prior to residential development. The archaeological evaluation comprised two trenches measuring 2m by 25m positioned across a former township boundary depicted on historic mapping. A single linear feature, probably a boundary ditch of post medieval date, was recorded in Trench 2.
