Abstract/Summary
Heritage statement produced in 2012 for the Alderley Edge Festival Hall, a locally listed building, prior to proposed partial re-development. It was built in 1927 as the home for a successful annual music festival. The festival was established in 1911 by the then Chairman of the Halle Concerts Society, Philip Godley, who lived in Alderley Edge. The building was designed by the Manchester architects Halliday and Agate.
