Abstract/Summary
A heritage statement was produced in 2016 for 13 Sandy Lane, Chester, which overlooks the River Dee at Boughton, in advance of proposed alterations.
Number 13 originally formed part of a single property, 'Boughton House' (CHER 10842), built in the mid to late seventeenth century. It was used as a workhouse and then convent in the nineteenth century, and was divided into two properties (Number 13 and Boughton House) in the 1920s. Both properties are Grade II Listed.
