Abstract/Summary
Correspondence from the Manchester Museum containing lists of stone heads in Cheshire. In the 1980s, Manchester Museum began the compilation of a catalogue of stone heads found in the North-West of England. This followed on from an earlier study, undertaken by Sidney Jackson, in Yorkshire and the North-East of England, which resulted in the publication 'Celtic and other stone heads' in 1973.
