Source/Archive record SCH9065 - A Heritage Impact Assessment of the Proposed Warrington Bank Quay MSCP Site, Warrington, Cheshire

A heritage impact assessment, comprising an archaeological desk-based and setting assessment was produced in 2021 for the proposed Warrington Bank Quay Multi-Storey Car Park (MSCP), to comprise a five-storey, open-sided, naturally ventilated steel frame structure with 15 minutes fire resistance, utilising a combination of sloped and flat deck car park arrangement. The report identifies that the primary archaeological deposit for this site is an area of railway sidings depicted on the First Edition OS Map (1893) and while some of these tracks will have been damaged by the construction of the current building, it is likely that spurs of the tracks remain below ground across the site.
