LEASE (Cp.) by Richard Wilbraham Bootle of Rode Esq to Richard Howell of Foulke Stapleford timber merchant -- 1 messuage or dwelling house with garden and meadow adjoining and also 1 water corn mill with a stable in BRUEN STAPLEFORD called Stapleford Lower Mill and one other messuage with a garden and two closes of land adjoining in FOULKE called Rogerson's Tenement, all formerly held by Hugh Wharton together with all houses, mill dams, ponds, sluices, etc., thereto belonging except the Walk Mill and all mines, salt rock, brine, trees, etc., at rent of £40 p.a. for 5 lives (sons William, Joseph & Richard).Seal, red, illegible.
