Abstract/Summary

Archaeological evaluation undertaken in March 2012 at the Northgate Avenue car park recorded evidence of Roman soil horizons, a Roman sandstone wall and structure. More post medieval evidence was also encountered including evidence of the 19th century railway buildings and landscaping associated with the railway itself.
