Abstract/Summary
The report concludes that that there is potential for archaeological deposits to occur unexpectedly anywhere on the line and, consequently, a lower-level watching brief is recommended along the majority of the eaement. Middlewich's area of Archaeological Potential is considered particularly archaeologically sensitive an a more intensive watching brief will be maintained in this area. The report also highlights the need for SMC in order to obtain access to the proposed compunds across the scheduled fort at Harbutts Field.
