Abstract/Summary
Report on the Desk-based Assessment carried out in response to a proposal to install an under floor heating system in Chester cathedral. The areas affected are the nave and the central aisle of the south transept. A possible route for the supply duct from the boiler house via the slype and cloister has also been identified. The system was to disturb the total area affected to a depth of 0.3m.
