Abstract/Summary

Describes the discovery and character of a Votive Altar fragment found during excavations for a deep sewer 'at the back of the Exchange in this city'. The inscription had been dedicated by Hermongenes, a physician, but it is unclear to whom the altar was dedicated. Includes illustrations.
