Abstract/Summary
A walkover field survey and archaeological evaluation were undertaken at the proposed Water Treatment Works at Sandiford in 2005. The site lies circa 300m. to the south of the Seven Lows barrow cemetery at the head of a small watercourse.
A rectangular posthole was recorded in Trench 1, but no other features were identified. In total, four artefacts were recovered - three pieces of pottery dating between the eighteenth to the early twentieth century, and a single piece of flint.
