Description
A walkover field survey and archaeological evaluation undertaken at the site of a proposed Water Treatment Works at Sandiford in 2005. The site lies circa 300 meters to the south of the Seven Lows barrow cemetery at the head of a small watercourse. A rectangular posthole was recorded in Trench 1, but no other features were identified. In total, four artefacts were recovered - three pieces of pottery dating between the eighteenth to the early twentieth century, and a single piece of flint.
