Abstract/Summary
Desk-based assessment and field survey undertaken in 1992 in advance of the development of Carden Park, Cheshire as a countryside leisure facility, including a golf academy. All features observed as part of the field survey are post medieval in date, they include ridge and furrow in a few fields, mostly within the eastern part of Barton township and within later woodland, remains of post medieval boundaries, sandstone walls relating to Carden Estate and two sandstone bridges over the Carden Brook, also a dry leat to the north of the leat servicing Stretton Mill.
