Summary

A small country house, in the Tudor revival style, built in 1877 for the Earl of Shrewsbury. It is built of light Bowden brick with sandstone dressings, tall brick chimneys and a Welsh slate roof. There is a service wing to the east and a small range of farm buildings to the north which have been converted to houses.

Full Description

A small country house, in the Tudor revival style, built in 1877 for the Earl of Shrewsbury. Light Bowden brick with sandstone dressings, tall brick chimneys and a Welsh slate roof. Service wing to east (1).

There is a small range of farm buildings to the north which have been converted to houses (3 & 4).

Reputedly one of the two manorial sites in this township mentioned by Ormerod (5).
