Please read our guidance about the use of Cheshire Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
Rock Overhang or Mine Working above a footpath between Pillar Mine and the Stormy Point rock slide. The soil build-up here obscures the view of an undercut edge to the rock, excavation of which may reveal a substantial overhang or a bedding plain similar to that at Devil's Grave. Several faults outcrop are here but further investigation could possibly reveal evidence for an early occupation or mining site.
