Summary

Stretton Hall is situated in Hall Lane. It was built in 1664 and restored and extended in the 19th century. The 17th century oak frame is brick-nogged and the 19th century walls are of brown brick. It is seat of Starkey family and is believed to have been constructed with the material from the demolished, moated Manor House, known as the Nether or Lower Hall of Stretton.

6/37 Stretton Hall (formerly listed as Old Hall)

Hall 1664 with C19 restoration and extension, partly 1879. The C17 oak frame is brick-nogged; the C19 walls are of brown brick; C19 brick chimneys; modern stone-slate roofs. The oak framed front of 2 storeys and 4 windows has a 2 storey porch near the centre and a projecting gable to each side. Small rectangular panels; chevron-framed gables with C19 shaped bargeboards. The mullioned windows have restored leaded glazing. The oak boarded door and lower part of the framed porch are renewed. Beam over window above porch bears date 1664.
