Full Description
Stocks at Grappenhall are situated close to the churchyard wall. The wooden laterals were restored in 1939, but the stone uprights appear to be original and are 'in situ'. The stocks are now protected by iron railings (1).
Slotted round-headed end stones are probably 17th century in date. The the oak stocks have been replaced. An older pair of oak stocks are preserved in the church (3).
