Summary

A windmill at Nether Walton is mentioned in 1627. It is shown as a small square building on the Ordnance Survey Map of Cheshire. The windmill was destroyed in 1893 and remains of the foundation were still visible. It is suggested that the occupied the site of a barrow.

A windmill at Nether Walton is mentioned in 1627 (1).Shown as a small square building on OS map (2).Shown as group of buildings by Thompson Watkin (3).Windmill destroyed in 1893 & remains of the foundation were visible below the south fence of the garden belonging to Alderman W.Bolton (4).Windmill occupied the site of a barrow.
