Summary

An elongated, prominent, pear shaped mound, about 20m x 12m x 0.45m in height was found. It has an undulating profile and is most prominent on the southern side. Its outer edge appears to have been exaggerated by plough action.

An earthwork survey carried out ahead of a planning application for a golf course located an elongated, prominent, pear shaped mound (Site 51), about 20m x 12m x 0.45m in height. It has an undulating profile and is most prominent on the southern side. Its outer edge appears to have been exaggerated by plough action.
