Building record 2515/1/0 - Weaver Hall, London Road (Salt Museum)

Weaver Hall,162 London Rd, In former workhouse of 1837. Two storeyed brick built with pediment and clock turret (1). Now the Salt Museum and Head Quarters of Cheshire County Council Museum Services. Built by George Latham - 2 storeys, 13 windows plus two storey extension. Original building is symetrical, with slightly later wing to right. Two storey porch with broken pediment and projecting date stone on gable - AD 1837. Square clock turret above. Early 20th century vernacular revival extension. Interior:- 20th century wing contains former Board Room with carved ceiling and carved fireplace (2).
