Full Description
'Dernhale' first mentioned 1225. Darnhall was anciently a manor of the earls of Chester - John le Scot, Earl of Chester 1232-37 died here (1). Later a royal manor of Edward I (2) First monks of Darnhall apparently took over an existing Royal manor house (4).
