A heritage assessment and photographic record was produced in 2020 in support of proposals for internal and external alterations at Allostock Hall, Holmes Chapel Road, formerly named Sculshaw Lodge, and its associated Stables to the north-east.

Allostock Hall, was originally built in the late 17th Century and subsequently altered in the 19th Century in a Regency style, adding a wing to either side with further later building additions. To the north east of the hall is a stables building constructed in the mid – 19th Century. Built from brick under a slate roof, with a stuccoed front and side elevation the building has been raised at ridge level, most likely in the 19th Century remodelling.
