Full Description

A polished flint axe-head found in Macclesfield in May 1936. The axe is 3 ins long x 1.5 ins thick and 0.5 ins thick in the middle. It was identified by Mr James Forde-Johnston of Manchester University as Neolithic/early Bronze Age. Axe in possession of finder (1).
