Full Description
Water powered cotton mill built by the Wood family, between 1785 & 1826. Powered by 2 cast iron waterwheels, providing 25 h.p. each, and 2 steam engines, one of 60 h.p. and one of 40 h.p. (1). Grid referance corrected from SJ92157352 based on the OS 2nd ed 6inch maps.
