Full Description
Hurdsfield Road Viaduct, presumably built for the Macclesfield, Bollington & Marple Railway (1). This Viaduct needed regular maintainance, straddled the River Bolin. Cost of Improvement in 1918 was 12,500 pounds. These improvements were not carried out until 1919 due to a shortage of steel because of the war. Only one train at a time was allowed to cross the Viaduct during this period (2).
