Summary

The remains of a circular stone wall comprising tightly packed large stones and boulders and partially covered by turf. This feature may be the remains of a ring cairn or the kerb to barrow, but it may also be of more recent origin.

"...in a hollow there is traceable a stone circle, 30 feet in diameter…."

The circle of stones is approximately 10 metres in diameter with a maximum height of 0.5 metres and is situated in rough pasture. The circle is composed of large stones and boulders that are tightly packed with a turf covering. It may be a ring cairn or the kerb of a barrow.

The stone circle is of dry stone walling and is comparitively modern. [Rigg J 29/04/1964].
