Summary

Grade II listed Bridge over moat to Chorley Old Hall. It probably dates to the 16th century with some later repairs and rebuilding. Built of ashlar buff sandstone with two semi-circular arches underneath. The moated site and associated fishponds are a Scheduled Monument including the ground beneath the bridge.

Full Description

Bridge over moat to Chorley Old Hall. Probably l6th century with some later repairs and rebuilding. Ashlar buff sandstone. Two semi-circular headed arches are sprung from low piers. There is a low parapet with a flat coping and a concrete roadway (1). NB ground beneath the bridge is scheduled (2).
