Full Description
Stone coffin, dug into a hillside in a pasture field at Langley. Used as a water trough for sheep. Coffin made of fine gritstone, and is without a lid. Size suggests it was for a child. Probably not in situ. There is no medieval parish church at Langley, so there are no indications of its original location (1).
