Full Description
Formerly farmhouse, now house. Early C17 with late C17 and later alterations. Original part timber framed with wattle and Daub infill. Additions in rubblestone, then brick ( all now over-painted in black and white). Kerridge stone-slate roof and two brick chimneys. L- shaped plan. East front of two storeys has 4 x 3 cells of small framing, with angle braces to the wall plate and remains of the chamfered wooden doorcase. Some windows retain lattice leaded glazing.
Interior: Heavy chamfered ceiling beams. Herringbone strutting inside gables. Parts of C17 shaped flat baluster staircase included in a copy. Later C17 extension has remains of a fireplace beam and massive stack.
