Full Description
1 & 2 Walnut Cottages, Street Lane
Formerly farmhouse, now two houses. C17 with additional house of 1751 for Peter Cotteril. Partly timber framed on stone plinth, partly washed brick. Kerridge stone-slate roof, stone ridge and three stone chimnes. L- shaped plan. South range is timber-framed. North front of 9 x 2 irregular small frames with angle bracing of the wall plate. Door in right end bay and near centre. West end wall in rubble sandstone. East range is symmetrical with date plague reading PCC 1751 above the door (1).
