Farmhouse: seventeenth century with eighteenth century and early twentieth century additions. Washed coursed squared buff sandstone rubble. Kerridge stone-slate roof, stone ridge and three brick chimneys two-storey, three-bay front. Left end bay (a eighteenth century addition) has two-light horizontal sliding sashes with glazing bars. Buttress divides this from original two bays with one two-light horizontal sliding sash and the remaining openings enlarged in twentieth century.
Interior: shows that original house was L-shaped with two living rooms and shippon to rear.' Partition walls are timber framed with wattle and daub infill. Living rooms have weakly ovolo-moulded beams with flat stops. Shippon has deeply chamfered beam and a beam with the slots for the "bosgains" or cow stalls.
