Lower Pedleyhill Farmhouse.

Farmhouse: C17 with C18 and early C20 additions. Washed coursed squared buff sandstone rubble. Kerridge stone-slate roof, stone ridge and 3 brick chimneys 2-storey, 3-bay front. Left end bay (a C18 addition) has 2-light horizontal sliding sashes with glazing bars. Buttress divides this from original 2 bays with 1 2-light horizontal sliding sash and the remaining openings enlarged in C20. Interior: shows that original house was L-shaped with 2 living rooms and shippon to rear.' Partition walls are timber framed with wattle and daub infill. Living rooms have weakly ovolo-moulded beams with flat stops. Shippon has deeply chamfered beam and a beam with the slots for the "bosgains" or cow stalls.
