Full Description

Higher Doles Farmhouse, Holehouse Lane. C17 with some alterations. Washed coursed squared buff sandstone rubble. Tile roof and brick chimney. H-shaped plan. Three-bay north front. Left end bay under projecting gable is of 2.5 storeys with rubble mullion windows. Central bay of one storey with sliding sash window. Right end bay of two-storeys has C20 openings. Interior: Some simple panelled doors. C17 dogleg stair. Ovolo-moulded beam in parlour with flat and tongue stops. Chamfered beams in other rooms (1).
