Hethales, a possible deserted medieval village, first mentioned in 1216. It was a hamlet of Over Peover, probably near Peover Heath. [TPW 04/11/1980] see (2).

There are a number of documentary references to Hethalis, Hechalie or Hethabie Court dating from 1216 to 1305. The place-name possibly means 'heath-nooks'. This was a hamlet of Over Peover, presumably near Peover Heath (see 4).
