There is a possible moat at Mobberley Old Hall. What is left of the moat is used as a pond. Part of the line of the remainder of the moat is marked by an ancient yew hedge running alongside the road.

Northern arm of the moat had been significantly widened during earlier landscaping of the site.This will have compromised the archaeological potential of this part of the site.
