Gate piers, wing walls and bridge: seventeenth century; Ashlar buff sandstone. Short tall wing walls with triangular coping flank gate piers, a squashed T-shape in plan, with ovolo mouldings on each edge. These have a weathered capstone and added cubic finials with diamond shaped panels. Twentieth century wrought iron gate opens onto bridge with low parapets over a recessed segmental arch. Flagged walkway. Parapet turns and becomes revetment wall to moat and joins the house. The earliest hall of late sixteenth century was reached by a drawbridge probably replaced by these structures c.1660 when hall extended.

The ancient mounting-block still stands by the bridge.
