Midgeley Gate Farm. House, early C17 with south wing of similar date and mid C19 north wing. Red gritstone squared rubble. Irregular plan. South wing of two storeys and one bay with recessed bevelled mullioned windows. Central cross wing is of three storeys, plus cellar, with recessed mullioned windows. Interior: Ovolo beams, chamfered beams and unwrought beams, all of oak. The walls between south, central and north wings are very thick. Traces of inglenook against north wall of south wing. Jacobean stair partly rebuilt in C19. Full architectural description (1).
