Summary
Grade II listed Sewer ventilating shaft built around 1893. It is a red brick tapering shaft on a blue brick plinth, 30ft (9 metres) high. It is the only remaining shaft of an early sewage system to deal with chemical effluent.

Sewer ventilating shaft c. 1893, possibly by J S Sinclair, engineer. Red brick tapering shaft on blue brick plinth, 4ft square internally and 30ft high. Only remaining shaft of an early sewage system to deal with chemical effluent (1).
