Full Description
<1> Celoria F, 1975, Preliminary report on Mill Street Rescue Excavation Nantwich (Unpublished Report). SCH2721.
Excavations revealed: a ditch 1.3m wide and 0.8m deep (undated); 18th to 19th century domestic drains; the remains of a late 19th century water turbine; and an assemblage of around 1700 sherds of post-medieval pottery. The site was abandoned after a series of setbacks.

The site recorded an interesting area representing a possible intersection between riverine deposits, defense ditches and urban dumpings.
