Summary

This late 19th century blue brick station building originally served the LNWR Crewe - Shrewsbury line (opened 1858) and the Nantwich - Market Drayton Line (opened 1863). A level crossing with wooden gates, was hand operated by wheel, from the wooden signal box with slate roof and ornamental ridge tiles.
