Aston Mill: a watermill site on the River Weaver at Aston Juxta Mondrum. The site is taken to be at Mill Field (recorded on the tithe maps and award. See 3).

<2> Dodgson J McN, 1970-2, 1981, The Place-Names of Cheshire, vol.III p.128 (Book). SCH3228.

The earliest reference to the mill, molendia de Astona, dates from 1275-82 and the last from 1683. There was another mill in the township, molendinum de Ringisbache, but the location is uncertain.
