Summary

Grade II listed farmhouse built in the mid seventeenth century. Timber framed with brick infill. The building was originally thatched, but now has roof of corrugated iron.

Farmhouse, mid seventeenth century. Brick nogged timber frame, formerly thatched now with corrugated metal roof. Two storeys, four-bays including added brick bay, south. Ten irregular panels with single middle-rail and long angle braces to the wallplate. Replaced flush casements with glazing bars. Boarded door in heavy oak frame. Old fire-insurance plate featuring Atlas. At the rear (west) the timbers are hidden by a full-length lean-to with roof of large slates, which turns through 90° across the gable of the added brick bay south. Three-board-deep fascia hiding the remaining thatch. Stacks to the original gable ends. Interior: Bevelled beams and exposed ceiling joist, inglenook blocked.
