Summary

A moat has been recorded at this Grade II farm. Originally rectangular in shape it has now been filled except for one small pit. The present farmhouse is just to the west of the moat. It was built in the late 17th century but now has an early 19th century appearance of red brick with a slate roof.

Full Description

Moat is recorded at Baddington Bank Farm (1). It has been filled except for one small pit. Originally rectangular in shape, there is no evidence for an entrance. No buildings on the site (2). The present farmhouse is just to the west of the moat. Late C17 but of early C19 appearance. Red brick with slate roof. Two storeys and attic, three bays. Symmetrical arrangement of casement windows. Dormer formerly ventilated cheese loft. Interior has bevelled beams, wide oak staircase with splat balusters. Board doors with strap hinges (3).
