BADDINGTON C.P. BADDINGTON LANE SJ 64 NW Baddington Bank Farm 6/25 House (formerly listed as Baddington Bank) 12 January 1967 GV II
Farmhouse, late C17, but of early C19 appearance. Red brick with roof of small slates. 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays, "L"-shaped plan. 2-and-3-light flush casements with stone sills and cambered arches. The central attic window in gabled-dormer with barge boards. Projecting brick porch with semi-circular arched chamfered front opening and small side openings. The porch has a pitched tiled roof and fronts a heavy door frame, with external linings, in which is hung a 4-panel half glazed door with bolection moulded lower panels. There is a projecting brick band at first floor level, barge boards to gables and gable-end stacks. Interior: Bevelled beams, wide-boarded oak doors on strap hinges. Wide oak staircase with splat balusters. Softwood panelled wainscotting, bead and flush 4-panel doors. At first floor level there are bevelled beams and exposed joists, wainscotting to landing and 4-panelled doors with sunk panels. In the attic there are exposed purlins, and rafters framed without ridge. Oak dowelled door frames and 4-panel doors with wide door cases.
