Full Description
What was described as ‘numerous amounts’ of Roman pottery, which included Samian ware, an antefix, ‘legionary tiles’, marble and glass were found on the property of the Duke of Westminster near Vicar’s Lane, at some time prior to 1888 when their exhibition was reported (1). No other details on the nature of this discovery are available, and the findspot’s GIS point is only approximate.
