Possible site of a mill at Brereton. Mentioned in Domesday. Held by Wulfgeat in 1066 & valued at 12d. Held by Gilbert Hunter in 1086 (1). A will of 1431-2 recorded '...a third part of the profits of a watermill in Brereton'. (3).
